Thank you for celebrating release day with me for the short story and poetry collection Consequence of Gravity! I have been writing these stories for the past 8 years and I’m thrilled to finally have them in a collection for you to enjoy.
These were the questions I asked myself while writing the stories in Consequence of Gravity: Have you thought about living alone on a distant planet only to find you were not alone? Have you considered being an astronaut only to have to leave your family behind and visit them a few times a year? Have you considered a future where you send your children away to safety only to have them be raised by robots?
In the poem Mission to Mars, I focused on imposter syndrome and fear of failure as a professional and a mother. I also contemplate the idea of serving your community and mankind while losing out on the only people who will truly remember you in the end.
