Nero has become one of my favorite characters in Veil of Shadows. Yes, he’s a horse but his perspective is just as important as the main characters. We didn’t see Nero at all in the first 6 books in the Veil of Shadows series, so it’s a wonderful surprise that he’s show up in Shay’s story and we can see how we missed him before.
